INDICATIONS

For use as an aid in the prevention of pneumonia caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae infection in swine.

IMMUNITY

Vaccination with M+PAC® as a single 2 mℓ dose or two 1 mℓ doses 14 days apart, has been demonstrated to provide at least 4 months duration of immunity.

COMPOSITION

Contains chemically inactivated cultures of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae.

STORAGE

  • Store between 2 °C and 8 °C.
  • Do not freeze.

WARNINGS

  • Withdrawal period: Do not slaughter animals for human consumption within 21 days after vaccination.
  • Extreme caution should be used when injecting any oil emulsion vaccine to avoid injecting your own finger or hand. Accidental injection can cause serious local reaction. Contact a physician immediately if accidental injection occurs.
  • KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN, UNINFORMED PERSONS AND ANIMALS.
  • Although this vaccine has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, seek veterinary advice and notify the registration holder.

PRECAUTIONS

  • Destroy any unused vaccine and dispose of all the empty vaccine containers and disposable equipment after use in accordance with National Environmental Management: Waste Act, 2008 (Act No. 59 of 2008).
  • Transient local reaction may occur at the injection site.
  • If allergic response occurs, seek veterinary advice.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE – USE ONLY AS DIRECTED

Shake well before use.

Use an aseptic technique.

For herds that use a 2-dose programme:

Vaccinate 1 mℓ subcutaneously or intramuscularly at 7 to 10 days of age or older.

Revaccinate with 1 mℓ, two weeks after initial vaccination.

For herds that use a 1-dose programme:

Vaccinate pigs at 3 weeks of age or older with a single 2 mℓ dose.

PRESENTATION

Plastic containers containing 50 mℓ or 100 mℓ vaccine, closed with a rubber stopper and sealed with an aluminium cap.
