September is Rabies awareness month! Rabies kills an estimated 59,000 people each year, almost half of them children under 15 years of age. Veterinarians, volunteers and dog owners play a critical role in protecting and saving canine and human lives by eliminating rabies.

Thank you to volunteers all over the world that continually help prevent the spread of Rabies by raising awareness of the life-saving efforts of local veterinarians and volunteers that encourage others to support and expand rabies prevention and elimination efforts.

MSD Animal Health is committed to this fight against rabies with over 3 million doses donated as part of the Afya project.  Veterinarians and pet owners that choose to vaccinate their pets with Nobivac^® are assisting us in working towards the WHO goal of zero dog mediated human rabies deaths by 2030.
